Château Angélus and Cognac Louis XIII accompanied a dinner served at the LEELA Hotel Residence on 13th November, where wine connoisseurs and collectors paid tribute to these two prestigious family-owned wine & spirits firms.
For several years now, Angélus has had a certain sway in Asia and continues to arouse keen interest amongst wine connoisseurs in search of prestigious products and the French art of living.
Last November, Stéphanie de Boüard Rivoal, Assistant General Manager, travelled to Asia to present Château Angélus in some renowned locations. She went to Peking, Hong Kong and Shanghai in China; to Delhi in India; to Jakarta in Indonesia and also to Burma.
On 9th November, the very recently established Commanderie de Bordeaux in Australia welcomed Château Angélus at the occasion of an evening reception held at the French Ambassador’s residence in Canberra, during which six new Commanderie members were inducted. For Château Angélus the tour continued to Melbourne on 11th November, with a dinner party held at one of Australia’s most top rated restaurants, the “Vue de Monde”, on the 55th floor of the Rialto Tower. To bring this Australian tour to a close, a vertical tasting for eighteen sommeliers was given on 12th November at the premises of Riedel in Sydney.
At the occasion of the Hong Kong Wine Fair, Château Angélus was given place of honour during a master class that welcomed wine connoisseurs and collectors. The theme of the evening was devoted to inheritance “From 7th to 8th generation, inheritance involving women.”
A wine dinner to present Château Angélus was held at the ‘Belon’ restaurant, conjuring up an aquatic world, with a stunning, panoramic view over Cotai.
Major investors, the singer Yang Kun and the well-known television presenter Xu Tao attended a tasting of Château Angélus presented by Stéphanie de Boüard Rivoal. This evening reception was held on 6th November in one of the private villas belonging to “La Chinoiserie Villa” in Peking. A marquee was erected especially for this occasion in the gardens of the villas. A mini-auction was held to sell two magnums of Château Angélus, 2007 and 2008 vintages and prices for these bottles really soared.
A master class presented by Stéphanie de Boüard de Rivoal was held at the Wine Tasting Club of an elite higher education institution, the prestigious University of Tsinghua.
Hubert de Boüard presented a superb vertical tasting of Château Angélus to a group of wine connoisseurs, on 5th November during a wine dinner held at Le Gavroche restaurant in London.
