On 24th October, His Eminence Cardinal Ricard, the Archbishop of Bordeaux blessed the bells in the belfry, which now adorns Château Angélus’ façade. These bells form an outstanding campanile including the 700-kilo Angélus no. 3 bell, whose strike tone is G and the 305-kilo Emilion no. 4 bell, whose strike tone is C and a peal of 18 bells. The Angelus bell’s patrons are Jacques and Christian de Boüard de Laforest, while the Emilion bell has Hubert de Boüard de Laforest and Jean-Bernard Grenié as patrons.
