Every year, the Grands Crus Musicaux festival brings the greatest classical artists to some of the most prestigious Bordeaux chateaux for some unforgettable performances. Angélus has been a partner for three years and is delighted to be hosting one of the most impatiently awaited concerts in the 2016 programme, featuring pianist Marc Laforet with violinist Renaud Capuçon. The Angélus nave will resonate with sonatas by Bach, Mozart and Beethoven performed by these highly celebrated artists on 13th July at 8.0 p.m. with a cocktail tasting afterwards.

At the last day of France’s Top 14 rugby union competition, Bernard Laporte attended his last match as Toulon’s trainer against the Union Bordeaux Bègles team. The whole day was full of emotion and wound up when the entire Toulon Rugby Club said farewell to Bernard, who has truly left his mark on rugby in the south-eastern French city. The President of Toulon Rugby Club Mourad Boudjellal paid homage to Bernard Laporte, a noted wine connoisseur, over a glass of Château Angélus.

In conjunction with Vinexpo Asia-Pacific, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, Jean-Bernard Grenié and Bong Grelat-Tram are touring China to preside at a number of dinners and tastings of Château Angélus with noted connoisseurs, collectors, VIPs and trade professionals.
10th PHILOSOPHIA FESTIVAL
Angélus is taking part again in the Philosophia Festival, which is to be held from 25th to 29th May in Saint-Emilion. In this way, the Boüard de Laforest family aims to nurture the initiative of coming together to share knowledge and ideas around the transmission of “Culture”, which is the theme for this, the tenth festival.
Conferences, debates, lectures and events for young audiences will be led by: Pascal Chabot, Anastasia Colosimo, Astrid Guyart, Pierre Jacerme, Jack Lang, Jean Musitelli, Sophie Nordmann, Mazarine Pingeot, Olivier Poivre d’Arvor, Jacques Rancière and Heinz Wismann.
