Since the 2014 vintage the bottles of Château Angélus are equipped with a system of authentication, traceability, and anti-counterfeiting through the insertion of a microchip under the label of each of our bottles, readable with the smartphone app WID.

2020, the mirror year, is also the golden number of this rare vintage -one of perfect proportion and ideal harmony. It evokes at the same time the cyclical time of the vine and its work, an ideal of balance and that duality, undergone, overcome and sublimated, which characterises it.

OPENS ON 21st SEPTEMBER
After the completion of large-scale renovation work carried out by its new owners, the de Boüard de Laforest family of Château Angélus, Le Gabriel reopened last July 9th.
A Cabernet Franc Story
Angélus takes you through the different stages of the vine cycle via a series of photos of a single Cabernet Franc vine. This series, entitled “A Cabernet Franc Story”, will be sent out on a monthly basis until the end of the year.
SOBLI: THE SEMI-AUTOMATIC LAUNCHER
A new machine appeared in the Angélus vineyard: SOBLI, the semi-automatic anti-hail balloon launcher made by the French company Selerys. SOBLI was based on LAÏCO which we spoke to you about in spring.

The En Primeur period is almost over, the opportunity for us to introduce Angélus new building: the Carillon d’Angélus and N°3 d’Angélus winery located at Saint-Magne-de-Castillon.
